Above is Sam Francis with his painting which when installed in 1987, measured 27 feet by 40 feet. The piece was stretched onto John Annesley Expansion Bolt Stretcher Bars. It is now in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Below are some of the pictures which show the installation process.
